Hey Hey. Happy Friday & Happy August. How are we already in the last month of Summer!? I hope everyone has been enjoying the Summer season! Personally, I am ready for some cooler temps. The heat & humidity this time of year is miserable and I’m totally craving all the fall feels.
Lots to share from July, so let’s jump right in!
LIFE LATELY…
Most of July kinda sucked. lol I spent the majority of the month either sick or trying to not get sick again. As I shared in the June Edit, I had covid over the 4th of July. I was finally feeling better, drank a little too much rosé one night and totally relapsed the very next day. Ugh I came down with a sore throat, chills & body aches all over again, which turned into an upper respiratory infection and lead to a 7 day course of antibiotics. I absolutely hate taking antibiotics but I really didn’t want to have this junk lingering any longer than necessary so I decided to just get on antibiotics and balance it out with some probiotics. I finally listened to my body and didn’t drink, didn’t workout and also got in with my acupuncturist which had me feeling better almost immediately. I’m still taking it pretty easy, doing some light workouts, I haven’t played tennis yet and feeling almost back to 100%.
Highlights of the month were going to my first Charlotte FC soccer game with some friends and it was so much fun! A really awesome month in real estate – 6 Closings!! Made it out to the Regional Farmer’s Market for the first time – ever! And, a trip to Charleston at the very end of the month with my sweetie. 🥰 {ICYMI last month, I shared that I met someone} Things are going amazing and I couldn’t be happier! ❤️ Note to self: Don’t go to Charleston in July/August. haha The heat & humidity was pretty miserable, but we had so much fun! We walked as much as we could tolerate in the heat, ate {tons of oysters & other yummy food} & drank, did the pool at our hotel one day + the beach at Sullivan’s Island the other.
Sharing a few snaps from our Charleston getaway above + a few other pics!
WATCHING.
SEX IN THE CITY.
I had myself a little Sex In The City marathon while I was sick on the couch for days. I went all the way back to Season 1 and binged way too many episodes and seasons. haha I actually had never seen some of the very first episodes so it was kinda fun to go back and watch.
BREAKING BAD.
Started this series and enjoying it but also deciding if I want to fully commit to watching it. haha
Have you watched this one!?
LOOT.
omg, please watch this show on Apple TV. I’ve watched 7 episodes so far and I absolutely love Maya Rudolph’s character. So many funny scenes, I have laughed so much!
BLACK BIRD.
Prison drama based on a true story, starring Taron Egerton and Ray Liotta. This show is so good and Taron Egerton is so good in it. It’s kinda crazy to watch him in this show because his character couldn’t be more different from the one he played as Elton John in Rocketman. On Apple TV as well.
LISTENING.
Always a mix of old & new, sharing what I’ve been listening to over the last month.
WEARING + WHAT I BOUGHT.
Did you guys shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale? I can’t believe it, but I didn’t buy a single thing during the sale this year. I perused the pieces online & in store and there really wasn’t anything calling my name. I did get a couple new body suits from Abercrombie (their body suits are seriously the best!) and this comfy, basic tee. The exact bodysuits I got are sadly sold out, so I’m linking a couple similar ones below. I got these Block Heel Slide Sandals from Vince Camuto and they are just the perfect slides – simple, chic & go with everything. They run TTS, come in 8 colors and so comfy. I got the New Cream color. Currently 50% off! I’ve been living in athleisure, my favorite AGOLDE denim shorts, Birkenstocks and the same 3 pairs of sandals/slides. lol

USING.
HAIR, SKIN, BEAUTY & SUPPLEMENTS.
My skin has been feeling dry from all the sun this summer. I came across this Ultra Facial Overnight Hydrating Face Mask from Kiehl’s and omg, I love it. It contains 10.5% Squalene and is super hydrating. It’s a balm-to-oil texture that melts right into my skin. I use it before bed, 3x a week. so good.
Still loving the Indie Lee products I mentioned in last months Edit – Restorative Eye Cream & Stem Cell Serum. I dropped my Gua Sha stone in the sink and it broke in half which was the perfect excuse to finally purchase the stone I’ve had my eyes on from Wildling Beauty. This stone is ahhmazing. The design of the stone works so perfectly with the curves of the face and neck. Major upgrade from the one I had before and to my gua sha routine.
A little late in the season, but I finally got Hair Botox again and I am loving it just as much as last year. It seems to have relaxed my curls even more the second time around and my hair is so smooth & frizz-free even in the crazy summer humidity.
I’ve been nursing my immune system with Wellness Formula. This has been one of my favorite supplements for years. It’s so good to keep your immune system strong or to fight off a cold as soon as you feel something coming on. It’s loaded with so many vitamins & herbs.

AROUND THE HOUSE
Finally got some cute storage baskets for my console table from West Elm – I love the shape, size {I got the medium ones} and mix of black & tan. I also ordered a mirror to go on the wall over my console table and but I’m still waiting for it to arrive. I’ve been going back & forth between a mirror or art work and finally decided on a mirror. I went with this Arch Mirror in Antique Brass. Also picked up this cute outdoor side table for my balcony – it’s the perfect plant stand, cocktail table or even an extra stool, if needed!
