Lauren Schwaiger - Lifestyle Blog

Hey hey and a very belated Happy October! Super late in getting the September Edit cranked out. October has been jam packed! The month kicked off with my birthday on the 3rd and then off to San Francisco + Napa Valley for my birthday trip with my sweetie. I had every intention of wrapping up this post while on our 5.5 hour flight out West, but the WiFi totally sucked on the plane and I just gave up and shut my laptop. So here I am, nearly 3 weeks behind. :/
My goal is to start writing up the Monthly Edit throughout the month rather than scrambling to write the entire post and round everything up at the very end of the month!

LIFE LATELY…

Naturally, September kicked off with Labor Day Weekend. I had something going on with family and/or friends for the entire long weekend. We did a lake day, a house party to celebrate a friends birthday + I hosted some of my favorite people at my place on Labor Day Monday. It was supposed to be a pool day, but it rained all day, so we brought the party indoors and we had a blast!

A few fun highlights of the month were Beauty Week at South Park Mall, a super fun shopping event and collaboration with Marmi Shoes in Phillips Place during the Presidents Cup and going to see Mean Girls at the Blumenthal with my BBF Stephanie + my niece and her BFF. We did dinner outside at Poplar House before the show and had the best time hanging with my 13 year old niece and her friend. Chatting it up with the teenagers was just the cutest and so entertaining. LOL
My mom joined me for the Marmi Shoes event, then we headed over to Bar One & 800 Degrees for some cocktails and dinner afterwards with my dad & boyfriend.

FIT + WELLNESS.
I really stepped up my workouts and got back into training legs weekly. I ripped off the band aide and did a real leg day for the first time in a long time. I was so sore + couldn’t walk normal for like 4 days. lol Every week since, I can feel my legs getting stronger & stronger again. Also been playing tennis 2x a week and loving it so much.

WATCHING.

LOOT.
I didn’t realize I totally missed the last episode of the Season 1. What a cliffhanger ending and definitely looking forward to the second season.

THE BACHELORETTE.
So sad for the way things turned out for Rachel but so happy for Gabby & Erich. Also, love that Gabby is on Dancing with the Stars! Not tuning in, but loving what she is sharing on her IG and she seems to be killing it!

TOP GUN MAVERICK.
Finally watched and omg, I absolutely loved this movie! Wish I bought it instead of just renting in on Prime. If you haven’t seen it already, you must. It’s even better than the original Top Gun.

DOG.
This was such a cute movie with Channing Tatum. I initially thought this was based on a true story, but it’s loosely based on his love for dogs and Channing did have a dog named Lulu in real life.

LISTENING.

Always a mix of old & new, sharing what I’ve been listening to over the last month.

WEARING + WHAT I BOUGHT.

Lauren Schwaiger - Madewell Paid Button Down

Let’s start with my two favorite purchases of the month!
My new suede sneaks & booties from Marmi Shoes. I purchased these while at the event I mentioned above and these are definitely going to be two of my favorites for the season.

Vaneli Suede Sneaker – I love everything about these sneakers. The color, the platform sole, the oversized laces and they are so comfortable. They run TTS.

Sesto Meucci Suede Bootie – love these boots and they are such a great staple to wear with jeans, skirts and dresses all throughout the fall/winter season. These only come in whole sizes and I went with an 8. I tried on the 9 and they were too big. My right foot is my bigger foot and the 8 felt a little tight, however, I had them stretched and they feel/fit good.

I buy at least one plaid button down from Madewell every fall/winter season and this Archdale Plaid button down is a new favorite for this year. I love the oversized fit and have been wearing it untucked rather than tucked in.

It’s officially jean jacket weather and I’ve been wearing mine a ton. It’s such a perfect layer this time of year and basically goes with everything – jeans, leggings, dresses. I absolutely love mine from Madewell.

USING.

HAIR, SKIN, BEAUTY & SUPPLEMENTS.

I replenished my Vegamour GRO Shampoo & Conditioner. I was without it for a handful of days and didn’t know what to do with myself. lol I just love these products so much! As I’ve shared before, a little goes a long way & they make my hair so soft, smooth & shiny and, I’ve continued to notice my hair get thicker & healthier.
Reordered these Gray Delay Supplements from Vegamour as well. I think they’re working some type of magic, so I decided to order a second bottle. lol

Whole Foods had one of their Supplement Sales, so I really stocked up on my favorite supplements & superfoods. I loaded up on Zinc, Vitamin C, Chia Seeds, Elderberry Gummies, Hemp Seeds, Maca Powder & Om Mushroom Master Blend. I mix in the superfood powders with my smoothies and oatmeal. {linking everything below}

As I mentioned above, I was invited to a Beauty Week event at South Park Mall at the very beginning of the month and received so many goodies & beauty products, both sample & full size. A few products I’ve been testing out and really loving…

Pai Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil. Absolutely loving this rosehip oil. Its smells and feels amazing + leaves my skin so incredibly soft. Also, my skin is prone to redness and rose hip helps soothe inflamed skin and redness. I will definitely be purchasing this product when I run out of the sample. Just 3 drops is plenty for face & neck.

Clinique Moisture Surge Hydrator Moisturizer – been using this daily and my skin is loving it.
Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Face Mask – using this every night before bed and my face feel super soft & smooth when I wake up in the morning.

I’ve completely forgotten to share that my mom surprised me with two of my favorite perfumes for the last few edits. I completely ran out of one of my favorite scents, Bvlgari Eau de Blanc and the other long time favorite that I actually haven’t had in years, Lolita Lempicka.
