Oh heyyyy, September. Where has 2022 gone!? Can’t believe it’s September, but I am also so here for it. While it’s still super hot out, Mother Nature has teased us with a few fall feels here & there and I’m completely loving it. Autumn is my absolute favorite and I’m so looking forward to all the season brings.

LIFE LATLEY…

August was a pretty great month. First & foremost, I am so thankful to be 100% healthy again after being so sick in July. I’m finally feeling like my usual healthy self. I’m playing tennis again + pushing myself in my workouts and feeling stronger every day. I’m getting my muscle tone & endurance back and I’m just so happy to be back in my groove.

Things are still going swimmingly with the boy. We took our second trip together to Virginia to see Kaleo perform at The National. The show was on a Monday night so we decided to head to Charlottesville first, did a couple wineries, then made our way over to Richmond for the show + spent an extra day to explore + eat & drink at a couple of the many delicious restaurants in RVA. I’m going to do a separate blog post sharing our trip so that’s all I’m sharing for now. lol We also saw the Lumineers perform here in Charlotte and OMG, they were so amazing live. If you’re a fan and they come to your city, definitely go see them! We had amazing tickets and were so close to the stage – such an awesome night.

WATCHING.

MARRY ME.
Love J. Lo. Love Owen Wilson. Loved this adorable movie.

THE BACHELORETTE.
I totally fell in love with Gabby & Rachel in Clayton’s season so when they announced that the two girls would both be the bachelorette’s together, I knew I’d be watching their season! I actually didn’t even realize the season started, but had the series set to record so I binged the first 6 episodes and now I’m all caught with the exception of the Men Tell All.

KEEP BREATHING.
This was such a good show on Netflix. I love Melissa Barrera, {she was amazing in In The Heights!} and her acting was so good in this role. I think there’s really something to be said about any actor who can pull off this type of role and carry a show/movie.

LISTENING.

Always a mix of old & new, sharing what I’ve been listening to over the last month.

still listening to my favorite Kaleo songs on repeat. Also, lots of Lumineers after seeing them perform at the end of the month.

WEARING + WHAT I BOUGHT.

Athleisure - Jean Jacket - Transitional Style - Lauren Schwaiger

I purchased a handful of new pieces from Madewell and rounded up all my favorites for fall in this post.
These are the perfect pieces for end of summer + great for layering once the weather officially cools off.

  • I snagged this tank in two colors – telluride stone & dried olive – in an XS. I’ve already worn both tanks several times and got some wear out of the jean jacket while in VA.
  • I’ve been a long time fan of their whisper cotton tee’s – I picked up this v-neck in kraft brown and this crewneck in golden spinach. XS in both tee’s.
  • Bought this classic jean jacket {in the medford wash} and *so* happy with this purchase! I have struggled to find “the perfect” jean jacket and feel like this one comes pretty close. I sized up to a large for an oversized fit. The medium was still too short on my arms and I like where the large hits at my hips as well.

USING.

HAIR, SKIN, BEAUTY & SUPPLEMENTS.

I am on the verge of running out of so many products again, with the exception of my newest & so loved product – Kiehl’s Overnight Hydrating Face Mask with 10.5% Squalane. This mask feels so good and I wake up with my skin feeling so soft & smooth after using it.

A few products have popped up in my IG ads and I’m super tempted to order them, especially as we’re heading into a new season. I love to switch up my products at the change of seasons. I’ll keep you guys posted.

In addition to my go-to daily supplements – vitamin D, women’s multi & magnesium + collagen powder – I’ve been taking Zinc & Vitamin C daily since recovering from covid + my upper respiratory infection in July to keep my immune system strong and able to fight off anything I may come in contact with.

Nothing new for Around the House in August. I am still patiently waiting on this mirror I purchased from West Elm to arrive. ugh I placed the order on July 29 and they just keep pushing & pushing the ship date. The new delivery window is Sept 7 – 9. So I’m crossing my fingers it actually ships this time.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Labor Day weekend with family & friends
and September is a great month for you! xx
