Sunday Selfies: Week #619
On Caturday, we had an unauthorized break-out by 50 percent of the Kitties Blue. It was raining quite hard with lots of thunder when I looked out the kitchen window and saw Tali and Gibbs exploring the backyard. As Dad Tom and I were herding them in, we noticed Cooper Murphy and Kizmet were also outside. After the four were corralled, I went on a hunt for the other four not knowing where they were.
Audrey and Calista Jo were good kitties. They were on the upper deck of the catio and had made no attempt to join in the shenanigans … two good kitties. I knew Lisbeth was in her cat tree in the dining room. That left Raleigh. A search upstairs in the house revealed he was not there. I feared the worst … that we had another escapee. Dad Tom asked if I had checked out under the chair where he hides beneath a slipcover. When I lifted up the edge of the cover and stuck my hand underneath, I heard a growl and a pale ginger cat dashed out from underneath and took off upstairs. All Kitties Blue accounted for.
So, Calista Jo was a good girl. She had the opportunity to bolt and did not! And that makes her the winner of this week’s selfie lottery and your host this week.
C.J. hopes you like her selfie, and will join her on the hop by linking up yours. All the Kitties Blue as well as your other friends will be looking for you right here anytime through Thursday.
Saying Good-Bye
Good-byes always suck, and this one is particularly rough.
We learned that Ellie Mae (Momma Kat & Her Bear Cat) received her angel wings yesterday after a nearly two year battle with cancer as well as other health issues. I am not on Facebook (Dad Tom is), and Kat has written extensively there about Ellie Mae’s cancer treatment and recent issues. If you would like to leave condolences, I suggest doing so on Facebook (Kat Kern), as Kat hasn’t posted on the blog in the past year.
Kitties Blue and I are sending all our love and sympathy to Kat. She is a very special person to me.
Whether you hop or not, thanks for stopping in to visit us today.
