Sunday Selfies: Week #605
Calista Jo disapproves of most everything, including Kizmet, Lisbeth and the kittens. She believes that she is the princess and should be catered to at all times. Of course, most cats believe this, as they should. Calista Jo, however, takes it to extremes. When she doesn’t get what she wants, she stridently complains and complains.
I suspect her disapproval here relates to my requesting she take a selfie and act as your host today.
You may be noticing for the first time that Calista Jo’s third eyelid (also known as the nictitating membrane) is visible in both eyes. This is not a new condition; she has had it for many years. The membrane being visible can be the result of a health issue, stress or injury. In the case of C.J., none of these things is the cause. Neither of our vets (Dr. Neel and Dr. McBane) have ever been able to determine the reason for this. It does not cause problems with her vision.

I know not all of our last week’s hoppers are aware of the issues we encountered with Linky Tools. The hop disappeared some time Sunday evening, and the code for the link no longer would show on the post. Sandee from Comedy Plus said she encountered similar issues, but the problem has been cleared up. I do hope so but will not know until the hop goes live at midnight. The link currently is showing up in preview mode.
Calista Jo and I do not plan to be here at midnight. I worked for nearly four hours in the yard on Caturday and am pretty tired. She will join the hop, provided the link remains available, in the morning.
